What made you decide to study in Czechia?

I wanted a change and to discover a new culture. I knew that if I wanted a to know a new culture it should be far away from home.

Did your studies meet your expectations? How did you find the study programme, instructors, university facilities? Were there any differences from studying in your country?

Actually, the experience in Czech Republic exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed all the moments I studied in Hradec Králové. The academic experience was different than from my home country and I think that despite the language barriers, I learned much in a very short term.

What was the biggest surprise with regard to studying or living in Czechia?

Some customs were really cute, for example, I had to live with Czech room mates and I saw that they did not have shoes inside the house, it took me time to get used to it and then I loved that custom. Without a doubt those little things are the ones that stole my heart and I still keep in my mind. I must also admit that the cold of my first day of classes has not been overcome and I never thought that winter would be so cold there.

What was your most memorable experience or what did you enjoy most as a student in Czechia?

Snow. I think that is the memorable experience I can share. Despite the brave winter and the cold, I loved seeing it snow, feeling the snow and playing with it as a child was without a doubt one of the most beautiful experiences. My country does not have snow, at least not in the cities.

How do you think your time in Czechia has helped your studies and/or your career?

It helped me to look and want a little more with my actions. It makes me to dream a little bigger and that is why I decided to study in topics that are not even relevant in my home country, despite it could be difficult for me to find a work related to human rights or international law I decided to go for it and being able to go move to other cultures and countries.

Do you have any advice for students thinking about studying in Czechia?

You definitely have to do it. It is the heart of Europe and probably that is why I could learn a lot and know about different cultures.
