What made you decide to study in the Czech Republic?

My parents visited the Czech Republic and their tour-guide told them about an opportunity for foreign students to study here for free in the Czech language. I thought it would be a perfect chance to get to know new country, new people, new society.

Did your studies meet your expectations? How did you find the study programme, instructors, university facilities? Were there any differences from studying in your country?

Although there were some problems during my study at Charles University, the programme I had chosen fully met my expectations. It is different various administrative aspects, and overall it is more difficult to get a degree here than in my country.

What was the biggest surprise with regard to studying or living in the Czech Republic?

The biggest surprise was that people here drink water from the tap and it is OK, the quality of water is good enough. Also I was surprised by the absence of turnstiles at metro stations.

What was your most memorable experience or what did you enjoy most as a student in the Czech Republic?

I loved it when I had a trip with my schoolmates to Leicester, UK. It was a perfect chance to study English as well as to meet new people.

How do you think your time in the Czech Republic has helped your studies and/or your career?

I am not sure about my career, but getting a European diploma is a huge benefit during a job searching and recruitment process. Moreover, the time that have spent here totally changed my mind, I have become more open-minded.

Do you have any advice for students thinking about studying in the Czech Republic?

"Do not be afraid!" They are often think they are not good enough for studying in Europe, but it is not true. And also meet deadlines, it is important.
