What made you decide to study in the Czech Republic?

Well, honestly I didn’t know how Czech Republic look like until my flight take off. Because actually my dad sent me to study in London which I don’t like that subject such business& management. So, I applied Czech government scholarship and I got accepted. Now, I am studying which is my passion as future civil engineer.?

Did your studies meet your expectations? How did you find the study programme, instructors, university facilities? Were there any differences from studying in your country?

Yes, absolutely splendid. Now, I am here where I meant to be. I found the study program from the university website everything was easy to understandable. Literally of-course university system is different such as credit system and also teaching system. Because we teach 1 subject for the whole year which is two semester. But here they teach 1 subject only one semester. So, to be civil engineer graduation, we have to learn 6 years course while Czech Republic has only 4 years.

What was the biggest surprise with regard to studying or living in the Czech Republic?

Because Czech Republic is in the best situation to travel around Europe and wherever I go that was so brilliant easy.

What was your most memorable experience or what did you enjoy most as a student in the Czech Republic?

1)That was my first year in Czech Republic and I missed my last train to transfer in Kolín station. It was midnight and I was alone and cold sitting outside . But the head of the station, this lady she suprisely stopped one cargo train to let me take and I was on the head of the train together with train captain ?‍✈️ which I never been in my life. And it was unforgettable memory. 2)And when I arrive first the krystal Hotel Prague to report my arrival as scholarship student, after long flight I was so seriously hungry and although I didn’t say a word, may be my face showed up too much. Meanwhile, the lady who is doing for my scholarship registration form, she said that I know you are hungry and she gave one chocolate cake and she said no one will stay hunger in Czech Republic. That was my first impression to Czech people.

How do you think your time in the Czech Republic has helped your studies and/or your career?

Yes, that was pretty helpful. Because I have to learn new culture, new people, new motivation, and also how they work.

Do you have any advice for students thinking about studying in the Czech Republic?

Yes, I am sharing how to apply university and scholarship in my facebook page since 2018. And many students applied to study medicine these years and they couldn’t come because of COVID. My Facebook page is ( Scholarships & Educational Opportunities for Myanmar). Now, we are running that page with my teacher because he is also alumni of Czech Government Scholarship. He graduated last year PhD from Technical University of Ostrava.
