What made you decide to study in the Czech Republic?
Firstly, and the most important for me it's easy traveling. Located centrally, it offers easy and comfortable travel options. In just a few hours, one can visit other European destination by car, by train or by plane and explore the world. Secondly, I can rely on stability and safety. The Czech Republic ranked 10th in the 2019 Global Peace Index. And of course, no less significant for me is education and self development. So, Czechia has one of the best educational systems in Europe + free tuition if you study in Czech language.
Did your studies meet your expectations? How did you find the study programme, instructors, university facilities? Were there any differences from studying in your country?
To be honest, the study programme was easier than I expected. The only problem for me was the Czech language, but it was a matter of time and practice. Here the system works in such a way that professors give you basic knowledge, and you need to study on your own, even so in Russia students "live" at University. In general, Czechia and the Uni teach you to be totally independent and in the meantime self-sufficient student.
What was the biggest surprise with regard to studying or living in the Czech Republic?
Transportation system, everything is always in time. The visa issues.
What was your most memorable experience or what did you enjoy most as a student in the Czech Republic?
