What made you decide to study in the Czech Republic?
I have a friend from Spain who studied her Erasmus here in the Czech Republic and told me how amazing it was, how safe and calm it was to live here.
Did your studies meet your expectations? How did you find the study programme, instructors, university facilities? Were there any differences from studying in your country?
Since scholar year has not started yet, I can´t talk about instructors. But the University of West Bohemia facilities are great, from classrooms to the gym. As for the study program, I found very interesting the variety of optional subjects like music, different sports, language, etc.
What was the biggest surprise with regard to studying or living in the Czech Republic?
I think the biggest surprise was and still is, the difficulty of the language. I was definitely not expecting it to be this hard. However, I already obtained level b1.
What was your most memorable experience or what did you enjoy most as a student in the Czech Republic?
During this year I have studied the Czech language at the university, the best experience has been every day getting to know more all these people from around the world and having great times with them during and after school.
How do you think your time in the Czech Republic has helped your studies and/or your career?
I consider the level of studies here is higher than in my country, that simple fact makes the whole difference. Also, I consider that having a degree in a country of the EU opens doors in many countries.
Do you have any advice for students thinking about studying in the Czech Republic?
I would tell them to go for it! I know it is complicated living on your own far from your family but is a great experience that creates in you a world of opportunities.
