As a graduate of this programme, you will be able to engage in scientific work at domestic and international institutions, primarily in the field of applied research, and will be well-positioned to work in both the private and public sectors. You will also find employment in research and development at universities, research institutes of the Academy of Sciences, central government agencies (ÚKZÚZ, MZe, ČZPI), EU bodies and institutions, and sector-specific services (breeding companies, breeders’ associations, consulting). You will also find employment in the commercial sector in research roles and innovative positions, such as research and innovation managers, staff responsible for implementing innovations, and those involved in testing and evaluating innovative elements, among others.
Doctoral studies are generally provided without tuition fees and are associated with doctoral stipends. Full‑time Ph.D. students receive a doctoral study income, the minimum level of which is set by legal regulations and currently amounts to approximately CZK 25,000 per month; in practice, it may be higher depending on involvement in research projects, publication activity, and other academic duties.
