As a student at a Czech university, you may have access to Erasmus+ and other mobility opportunities. Spend a semester abroad, complete an international traineeship, and gain experiences that will help you grow both personally and professionally.
Why study abroad while studying abroad?
You have already shown courage by choosing to study in a foreign country. Taking part in an exchange programme while enrolled in Czechia can take your international experience even further. It can help you:

What opportunities are available?
As an international student enrolled at a Czech university, your options depend on your university, faculty, study programme and mobility status. Always check the rules with your International Office or faculty coordinator. You may be able to choose from several types of mobility.
Erasmus+
Erasmus+
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme supporting international student mobility. Most Erasmus+ exchanges take place within Europe through partner universities and approved mobility agreements. Your Czech university will tell you which destinations are available for your study programme. You can choose between:
- study stays - spend 2 to 12 months studying at a partner university abroad
- traineeships - experience 2 to 12 months work placement or internship in a foreign company, research facility, or organisation
You can receive financial support for an Erasmus+ mobility experience. The amount of the grant depends on the destination country, the type of mobility, the length of your stay, and the current programme rules. Monthly support typically ranges from 480-750 EUR.

If you want to go abroad and contribute to a meaningful project, you can also explore volunteering opportunities such as the European Solidarity Corps. They usually focus on volunteering, community projects, social activities, culture, environment or youth work.

Many Czech universities have their own partnerships with universities abroad. These agreements may allow students to join a semester exchange, research stay, traineeship, summer school or another form of mobility. The offer is set by each institution, so check with your faculty coordinator or International Office to see where your university can take you.
