This doctoral study programme focuses on independent research in the economics and management of renewable natural resources. It develops interdisciplinary knowledge combining economics, environmental management and sustainable resource use. Emphasis is placed on evaluation of economic efficiency, policy instruments and management strategies related to renewable natural resources, particularly in agriculture, forestry and landscape management.

As a graduate, you are prepared for research careers in academic and research institutions or for expert positions in public administration, international organisations and consultancy firms dealing with sustainable development and natural resource economics.
Doctoral studies are generally provided without tuition fees and are associated with doctoral stipends. Full‑time Ph.D. students receive a doctoral study income, the minimum level of which is set by legal regulations and currently amounts to approximately CZK 25,000 per month; in practice, it may be higher depending on involvement in research projects, publication activity, and other academic duties.
