The master's degree programme in Finance and Business Valuation is to enable students to acquire further knowledge and skills in financial management of companies, accounting and other financial disciplines. Beyond these common areas, students will acquire the knowledge and basic skills required for the practice of business valuation and intangible asset valuation, including the ability to interact with specialists in the valuation of the major components of a company's tangible assets. Graduates find employment in the general practice of business economists and in investment banking, as well as in the independent profession of forensic valuers and asset appraisers specializing in business valuation or as employees of appraisal organizations, banks and other institutions where a deeper view of corporate finance and enterprise value is required.
After graduation, you will be able to: - understand and analyse the concepts, steps and principles of business and intangible asset valuation, including the logic and application of various income methods, equity methods and market comparison methods for business valuation, and perform valuations, - describe and apply the rules governing the activities of expert witnesses and the preparation of valuation reports, and prepare a valuation in the form of a valuation report, - make a valuation presentation to a client and act as an expert witness in court, - describe the individual steps of the investment process in an enterprise, including the preparation of investment projects in terms of their budgeting and financing and the analysis of the efficiency of the enterprise's investment projects and work with basic databases of companies.
