The only five-year study programme that prepares you for the teaching profession is Primary School Teacher Education. The subject-related part of the programme includes didactics of Czech language and literature, foreign language, mathematics, movement, art, music, and work-oriented educational disciplines for the subjects of primary science, local studies and natural science. In addition, you will become familiar with pedagogy, psychology, communication skills, school legislation and school management, and inclusive education. You will also address the specific needs of pupils, schools and the region, as well as the much-discussed issue of inclusion in primary education. You will take part in continuous teaching practice from the very first year of your studies.

Study

The graduate of the study programme is able to design and implement educational activities in primary education and at the first stage of primary school, or in educational institutions at the level of primary education. The graduate has contextual knowledge of the cultural, social and personal aspects of primary education, understands the psychological conditions of education, and is able to apply appropriate didactic programmes at the first stage of primary school. The study programme enables students, within its compulsory elective component, to focus on the specific needs of pupils, schools and the region, as well as on current issues of inclusion in primary education. The graduate is qualified to work as a primary school teacher.
