Become a kindergarten teacher. The joint foundation of the study consists of courses in pedagogy, psychology, philosophy, sociology and biology. The follow-up subject-related courses focus on preschool education within curricular, artistic, physical, dramatic and language education. You will complete didactic courses in the areas of the mother tongue, understanding nature, society, and the development of mathematical concepts. Naturally, the knowledge acquired will also be verified in practice.

The graduate of the study programme Preschool Teacher Education is a qualified educator prepared to work as a teacher in nursery schools and other preschool education institutions. The graduate possesses professional knowledge in the fields of pedagogy, psychology, didactics, and child development specific to preschool-aged children. They are able to plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities with respect to the individual needs of children, support their personal, social, language, and physical development, and create a stimulating and safe learning environment. The graduate is also prepared to cooperate with parents, professional institutions, and other organizations, and to apply modern educational approaches in accordance with current trends in preschool education. Thanks to the acquired competencies, graduates may find employment in nursery schools, children’s groups, leisure and community centres, and other institutions focused on the care and education of preschool-aged children.
