University of Pardubice - Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics
The Bachelor’s degree programme in Automation is designed to prepare university-educated specialists for technical and lower-level managerial positions across various industrial sectors, particularly in the operation, maintenance, service, and sales of measurement, information, and control systems. The programme emphasises the practical application of automation and industrial process control principles, while also providing a solid theoretical foundation for further professional development. Students acquire knowledge in automation, mechatronics, electrical engineering, microprocessor technology, programming, and signal processing, and learn to design and manage modern measurement, communication, and control systems.
The application to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the University of Pardubice is submitted electronically via the e-application system. Applicants select a study programme, fill in the required information, and submit the application online; it is neither printed nor sent by post. After registration, a field-specific application number is generated, which can be used to track the application status. The process includes payment of an administrative fee of CZK 650, which is non-refundable and must be paid for each application by bank transfer or online payment. The application is considered submitted only after the fee has been paid.
Graduates of the Automation programme demonstrate knowledge of mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, and computer science, complemented by expertise in measurement and signal processing, automation, system modelling and identification, mechatronics, robotics, and control technologies. They are able to analyse technical and non-technical processes, decompose them, and perform identification, monitoring, diagnostics, and automatic control. Graduates are also capable of solving practical tasks in industrial process automation, measurement of electrical and non-electrical quantities, and applied informatics.
