The study plan emphasises courses that provide a solid foundation in economics and management, including economics, business economics, management, marketing, finance, and trade, alongside courses applying theory in practice (e.g. operations management, enterprise practice, business operations, quality management). It also reflects the need for strong analytical skills, enabling graduates to use relevant statistical and mathematical methods (mathematics for economists, probability and statistics) and to work with corporate information systems. Some courses are taught in English, enhancing students’ language competence. Students further specialise through elective choices leading to state final examinations in either trade management or operations management. Teaching places strong emphasis on active learning methods, including case studies, project work, and engagement with industry professionals. Creativity and problem-solving are fostered through thesis work and professional placements. The curriculum aligns with labour market needs and responds to emerging trends, including Industry 4.0.
Apply for bachelor's degree programmes at the Faculty of Economics of the University of South Bohemia can be submitted exclusively in the form of an electronic application. Officially certified annual reports for individual years of study at secondary school in the form of PDFs from authorised conversion or a catalog sheet electronically signed by the principal of the secondary school are included in the application for study. The school-leaving certificate is also included in the form of an officially certified copy in the form of a PDF from authorised conversion. Graduates will learn the principles of managerial decision-making, which they will use when communicating with business partners, get to know enterprise information systems such as SAP or Statistica and can work in modern Industry 4.0. in the private and public sector. Graduate destinations include: operations manager, sales manager, quality manager, personnel manager, business economist, entrepreneur.
