The follow-up master’s degree programme in Quality and Processing of Agricultural Products further develops knowledge in the areas of quality assessment and processing technologies of plant and animal products, food hygiene and safety, human nutrition, and innovative approaches in the food processing industry. Graduates deepen their understanding of modern technological processes, quality control systems, and current trends in food production and processing. The programme also prepares students for the application of advanced methods ensuring product safety and quality in compliance with legislative requirements and market demands. Graduates of this programme may continue their studies at the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of the University of South Bohemia in accredited doctoral study programmes.
For follow-up Master’s programmes, provide proof of proper completion of a Bachelor’s programme. If you are in the final year of your Bachelor’s programme, submit an officially certified copy of your diploma as a PDF from authorised conversion – Czech POINT no later than the end of June. FZT USB Bachelor’s graduates do not submit proof of completed higher education. FZT USB graduates whose chosen follow-up Master’s programme directly builds on their completed Bachelor’s programme are admitted without an entrance examination. Other applicants take an entrance examination unless the Dean of FZT USB decides otherwise. Entrance examinations for follow-up Master’s programmes are written.
Graduates of the follow-up master’s degree programme in Quality and Processing of Agricultural Products possess advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in quality assessment and processing technologies of plant and animal products. They are familiar with issues of food hygiene and safety, understand the principles of human nutrition, and are knowledgeable about current trends and innovative approaches in the processing industry. They are able to apply modern technological processes, quality management systems, and control methods in compliance with legislative requirements and food production standards. Graduates are capable of analysing and optimising production processes with respect to quality, safety, and economic efficiency. They find employment in food processing companies, inspection and regulatory bodies, laboratories, advisory organisations, and public administration. They are prepared to work independently as well as in teams and may continue their studies in doctoral programmes.
