The doctoral programme responds to the increasing need for researchers in the field of nursing with enhanced nursing and scientific knowledge, or professionals able to solve the necessary tasks in their field in a creative/scientific way. Graduates will contribute to the development of the field of Nursing by implementing their scientific results.
Apply by submitting the electronic application. After completing it, you will be registered in ZSF JU records and you consent to the processing of personal data in the application. The Doctoral Studies Office registers it after you submit the printed, completed and signed form. Attach: a. certified proof of completed higher education; b. for Nursing, certified proof of the state language exam in English or German, or take the exam on the admission day; c. CV; d. overview of professional activities; e. list of publications; f. draft doctoral thesis topic and content according to https://www.zsf.jcu.cz/cz/studium/doktorske-studium; g. h. proposed supervisor and consent; proof of payment of the administrative fee.
The programme equips students to identify and address scientific problems in nursing, independently apply research methods, and carry out research in both basic and applied disciplines. You gain in-depth knowledge of their doctoral topic in an international context, contribute to evidence-based nursing, and understand trends in the field nationally and globally. They learn to assess the quality of nursing care across different communities and implement strategies for its improvement. The programme also develops skills in presenting and publishing research results in Czech and foreign languages. Graduates find employment in research and educational institutions, in management roles within healthcare organisations, and in project-based activities in the public and private sectors.
