The study programme is designed as a generally focused bachelor's degree. Its goal is to prepare students for professional work at the basic level and, at the same time, create a solid foundation for further study and possible specialisation in subsequent levels of education. The programme offers a broad theoretical and methodological framework for orientation in the field of religious studies. You gain an overview of the world's religions in their historical and cultural contexts and become familiar with the basic subdisciplines of religious studies, including anthropology, sociology, psychology, and the philosophy of religion. Emphasis is placed on the history of religious studies and the development of key academic skills, especially the ability to interpret a professional text and formulate one's own professional arguments. The course also includes systematic training in professional writing and leading academic discussions.

Graduates of religious studies find employment in a wide range of professional fields where understanding the religious, cultural, and ethnic diversity of contemporary society is required. Their education develops the ability to think analytically and interpret texts and complex social phenomena. At the same time, it supports a sensitive perception of cultural and social contexts. They find employment in the media, where they address social and cultural issues; in the non-profit sector; and in public administration or local government, where they participate in creating policies that respond to the growing diversity of society. They can play an important role in education and in cultural or memory institutions, where they participate in the interpretation and popularisation of religious and cultural phenomena. Their broad humanitarian background allows them to respond flexibly to the needs of practice and to connect different perspectives when analysing contemporary social issues.
