Study

You gain a general overview of modern mathematical tools and methods. Emphasis will be placed mainly on statistics, data processing, discrete and continuous optimization and mathematical modelling in economics and finance. You learn to create and analyse mathematical models of scientific and social processes, perform their computer simulations, design numerical methods and test hypotheses based on real data processing. After successful completion of this programme, students find employment in finance, banking and insurance, as well as in analytical, advisory, and investment companies. They have the possibility of continuing their studies in the doctoral study programme Mathematics.
