Applications are submitted online through the VSB–TUO Electronic Application System. Applicants select their study programme and a preliminary dissertation topic, complete the required information, and upload all mandatory documents. After submitting the application and fulfilling the formal requirements, they are included in the admission procedure.

Graduates are highly qualified experts capable of conducting independent scientific research and development in the fields of energy technologies, thermal engineering, fuels, and high-temperature materials. They possess advanced knowledge of energy conversion processes, heat transfer, combustion systems, and the material and energy utilisation of resources and waste streams. They are able to design and optimise energy systems and industrial processes, develop and apply advanced experimental and computational methods, and contribute to the advancement of sustainable and energy-efficient technologies. Graduates are prepared to lead research projects, publish internationally recognised research results, and collaborate with industrial and academic partners. They pursue careers in research institutions, universities, industrial R&D centres, and specialised expert or managerial positions in the energy sector, industry, and public administration.
