Course description:
The Circular Audit course is a professionally oriented lifelong learning program designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to respond to the rapidly changing labour market, particularly in the context of the green transition of businesses and the implementation of circular economy principles. The course responds to the growing demand for specialists who will be essential for fulfilling the requirements of the new EU regulatory framework, the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), which are becoming a core part of corporate sustainability strategies.
This educational program focuses on providing practical, up-to-date knowledge that aligns with current European legislation and labour market needs. Its goal is to prepare graduates for real-world challenges in implementing sustainability and circularity within company operations, thus supporting the long-term competitiveness of the Czech economy.
In support of this transition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic has developed a certified Circular Audit methodology tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises. This effort include the formal establishment of a new professional qualification – Circular Auditor – and the development of an educational system necessary for training such experts. The Circular Audit course directly reflects this initiative and serves as a key platform for educating future corporate auditors in the field of circular economy.
Course participants will gain essential competencies in evaluating and applying the most effective procedures, tools, and solutions for the implementation of circular practices within industrial companies. Special emphasis is placed on aligning corporate processes with the ESRS framework and meeting sustainability targets at both national and European levels.
The program is open to all individuals interested in acquiring these qualifications, including employees, students, and professionals from various fields. Equal access and opportunity are guaranteed, ensuring an inclusive environment for lifelong learning and career development.
