This doctoral study programme focuses on independent scientific research in forest ecology. As a graduate, you are prepared for research careers at universities and research institutions or for expert positions in environmental and forestry organisations. You may work as forest ecologists, researchers or specialists in ecosystem assessment and forest conservation.

Study fee

Doctoral studies are generally provided without tuition fees and are associated with doctoral stipends. Full‑time Ph.D. students receive a doctoral study income, the minimum level of which is set by legal regulations and currently amounts to approximately CZK 25,000 per month; in practice, it may be higher depending on involvement in research projects, publication activity, and other academic duties.
