The master's degree programme in Banking and Insurance is to form graduates with a broad economic outlook, analytical and managerial skills, detailed knowledge of even complex variants of financial products, including methods of measuring and managing the risks associated with them, and the ability to actively use the apparatus necessary for analytical and scientific work focused on the financial market, both in the Czech Republic and the global financial market. Graduates of the programme are prepared for work at various levels of management of financial institutions and in financial departments of companies, as well as for independent scientific and analytical work focused on various segments and institutions of the financial market.
After graduation, you will be able to: - use analytical and managerial knowledge and skills in selecting and evaluating even complex variants of financial products, including methods of measuring and managing risks associated with them and the ability to actively use the apparatus necessary for analytical work focused on the financial market (in the conditions of the Czech Republic and the global financial market), - analyse and evaluate the impact of domestic and foreign economic, financial and other events on the financial sector, - actively use advanced analytical knowledge and skills (e.g. quantitative methods used in financial practice for measuring and managing risks or for valuing even complicated financial instruments), including the use of available software products, - effectively use database products for analytical work and process large data sets; then present and defend the results in discussions using modern presentation tools, not only in Czech but also in English.
