The master's degree programme in Regional Studies and Public Administration prepares you on the basis of acquired theoretical and practical skills to successfully master the functions of managers at a higher management level in the public sector at all levels (municipalities, cities, regions, ministries, etc.), in international organisations (EU, OECD, etc.) and in the private sector (financial institutions, etc.). The field of study and relevant teaching are designed to meet contemporary demands for professional maturity, applied by public administration institutions, as well as other organizations using knowledge of territorial units and spatial relations, operating in the corporate sector, in the field of consulting, informatics, international relations or in the scientific research and education sphere. Both theoretical approaches to key issues in regional development and public administration are used, where teaching is based on both spatial applications of general economic theory and on methods that enable solution of problems encountered in practice.

Study

After graduation, you will be able to: - on the basis of economic theory and main theoretical directions of locational and spatial concepts, construct various forms of economic policy of territorial development, - identify key problems in the creation of economic policy of territorial development and propose their solutions, - evaluate and propose options for effective management of territorial self-government units, - apply basic knowledge of mechanism and dynamics of public administration and its functions for the socio-economic development of regions.
