The aim of the study is a deep understanding of the given professional issue, which will enable students in practice to critically evaluate the knowledge and skills transferred, including the ethical context of modern bioengineering procedures. During the study, we offer opportunities for cooperation with foreign institutions. You will study in a pleasant and modernly equipped environment of the Technical University of Liberec. In addition to studying, you will have many opportunities to get involved in events not only at the Bioengineering Department of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Medicine, TUL. We are a workplace that has gained national fame during the corona crisis in the field of development, testing and production of non-pharmaceutical protective equipment for protecting the respiratory tract against respiratory diseases.

Study

Graduates of the follow-up master's degree programme in bioengineering will work as production and operational engineers and technologists, employees of control laboratories and testing laboratories in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. It will mainly be used in research and academic workplaces dealing with developing biomaterials and materials for medical devices, independent scientists or researchers, or in middle and senior management positions. In particular, they are well prepared for application in materials research and management of modern operational technologies in various industries related to biological materials and materials intended for medical applications. Graduates are also widely employed in state health authorities, e.g., the State Institute for Drug Control). The possibilities of application are by no means limited to the Czech Republic or Europe.
