The study programme includes all basic chemical disciplines - general, inorganic, organic, analytical and physical chemistry, supplemented by knowledge of biochemistry, the environment and other interdisciplinary subjects. Each subject includes laboratory exercises that lead to orientation in laboratory methods and their applications. Skills to design, develop, present and defend a project, use computer technology to solve and evaluate experiments, and process results. The Department of Chemistry also provides studies of nanotechnology and bioengineering, and part of the teaching is conducted jointly

Graduates of the B.Sc. study programme in Chemistry with a focus on education can continue at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Humanities and Education of the Technical University of Liberec in the follow-up master's study programme in Teaching for Secondary Schools and the 2nd Stage of Elementary Schools with specializations or can choose from a wide range of teaching study programmes at other universities in the Czech Republic, or they can continue in follow-up non-teaching studies at some of the other universities in the Czech Republic.
