Technical University of Liberec - Fakulta přírodovědně-humanitní a pedagogická
Nature and Environmental Protection is an academically focused study programme of an interdisciplinary nature with a natural science basis. In addition to applied biological disciplines, the emphasis is also placed on legislation, landscape planning and the use of GIS, including digital competence or overlap into fields affecting the environment such as forestry, water management or waste management. An important part of the study are field exercises with determination practices and, above all, practical demonstrations of nature protection management. Graduates will not only understand the natural components and processes of the environment, but will also acquire the basics of applied fields and sectors managing the landscape. This will enable them to mediate interdisciplinary communication in nature and environmental protection. The aim of the study is to educate experts capable of competently assessing individual components of the environment, analyzing risks and proposing functional solutions using modern tools and technologies. Graduates are able to solve problems of nature and environmental protection both from a professional and an administrative and legislative perspective. After completing the study programme, they will have the opportunity to continue in subsequent master's degree programmes at other universities with a similar focus, or they will find employment in the labor market in the public and private sectors. The content of the new study programme was consulted and supported by the regional office of the Nature and Landscape Conservation Agency in Liberec
