The aim of the study is to educate experts capable of competently assessing individual components of the environment, analyzing risks and proposing functional solutions using modern tools and technologies. Graduates are able to solve problems of nature and environmental protection both from a professional and an administrative and legislative perspective. After completing the study programme, they will have the opportunity to continue in follow-up master's degree programmes at other universities of a similar focus, or find employment on the labor market in the public and private sectors. The content of the new study programme was consulted and supported by the regional office of the Nature and Landscape Conservation Agency in Liberec

Study

Graduates of the study programme will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge, skills and competencies in various areas of nature and environmental protection with the aim of sustainable development of society. The resulting knowledge, skills and competencies will enable graduates to solve specific problems within the framework of: - protection of plant and animal species; - protection of biotopes; - designing managements to support protected plant and animal species and their biotopes; - revitalization of areas of interest; - analysis of changes in the landscape in relation to environmental components; - assessment of risks, causes and extent of disruption of environmental components; - preparation of analyses for decision-making processes; - coordination of activities in environmental care; - preparation of reclamation and rehabilitation plans; - solving problems in waste management.
