The aim of the programme is to broaden and deepen students’ theoretical knowledge, based on the current state of scientific knowledge in social pedagogy, and to develop their ability to apply this knowledge in creative and managerial activities. The study programme is designed in a sufficiently comprehensive way with regard to graduates’ employability in the labour market. The content of the programme is based on a broader concept of social pedagogy for the helping professions. The programme builds on the Bachelor’s degree programme in Social Pedagogy and further develops students’ specialised knowledge and skills. The study programme is divided into two specialisations: Social Pedagogy with a specialisation in School and Out-of-School Education and Social Pedagogy with a specialisation in Social Services. These specialisations are reflected in two study plans. Both specialisations share compulsory courses amounting to 70 credits (58.5% of the study plan), while each specialisation includes compulsory elective courses amounting to 50 credits (41.5% of the study plan). The structure and content of the compulsory elective courses lead students to acquire knowledge, skills and competences more precisely focused on one of the areas selected by the students, enabling graduates to achieve a higher level of professionalisation in practice. The study plan fully reflects the Standards of Education in the Field of Social Pedagogy issued by the Association of Educators in Social Pedagogy. Upon completion of their studies, graduates are able to manage educational or social organisations, develop educational and social projects, implement comprehensive educational and social activities, and conduct relevant pedagogical and social research.
