The Master’s programme in Information Technology is designed to prepare university-educated specialists for careers in software development, databases, information systems, as well as in operating systems and their administration. The programme provides advanced theoretical and practical knowledge required for modern IT practice and the development of complex software solutions. Graduates find employment primarily in software development, but also in industrial and transport companies, as well as in other sectors such as healthcare and agriculture, where applied information technologies are used.

The application to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the University of Pardubice is submitted electronically via the e-application system. Applicants select a study programme, fill in the required information, and submit the application online; it is neither printed nor sent by post. After registration, a field-specific application number is generated, which can be used to track the application status. The process includes payment of an administrative fee of CZK 650, which is non-refundable and must be paid for each application by bank transfer or online payment. The application is considered submitted only after the fee has been paid.

Graduates of the Information Technology programme possess knowledge of theoretical computer science, mathematical statistics, and especially software engineering, advanced programming techniques, database systems, operating systems, and computer system security. They are able to design, develop, maintain, and administer complex software systems. Graduates typically work as developers, system and management specialists, information system administrators, research workers, or academic staff in higher education institutions.
