The follow-up Master’s degree programme in Agroecology is structured into two specialisations: Landscape Management and Ecological Agriculture. You prepare for a wide range of professional activities focused on sustainable agricultural practices, environmental protection, and landscape management. The programme provides graduates of grammar schools and secondary vocational schools with both theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for employment in agricultural enterprises, family farms, and environmental organisations. You acquire knowledge of natural sciences, including ecology, biology, chemistry, and soil science, as well as an understanding of processes in agricultural ecosystems. These competencies are complemented by knowledge of environmentally friendly farming systems, sustainable land management, and the principles of ecological agriculture. Emphasis is placed on the protection of natural resources, biodiversity conservation, and the relationship between agricultural activities and the landscape. You will be able to apply principles of sustainable development, analyse environmental impacts of agricultural production, and propose appropriate solutions in practice. They find employment in agricultural primary production, environmental and advisory organisations, public administration, and enterprises focused on ecological farming and landscape care. The best graduates may continue their studies in a follow-up master’s degree programme.

For follow-up Master’s programmes, provide proof of proper completion of a Bachelor’s programme. If you are in the final year of your Bachelor’s programme, submit an officially certified copy of your diploma as a PDF from authorised conversion – Czech POINT no later than the end of June. FZT USB Bachelor’s graduates do not submit proof of completed higher education. FZT USB graduates whose chosen follow-up Master’s programme directly builds on their completed Bachelor’s programme are admitted without an entrance examination. Other applicants take an entrance examination unless the Dean of FZT USB decides otherwise. Entrance examinations for follow-up Master’s programmes are written.

Graduates of the follow-up Master’s degree programme in Agroecology, with specialisations in Landscape Management and Ecological Agriculture, possess comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge in sustainable land use and environmentally friendly agricultural production. They are familiar with the fundamentals of natural sciences, particularly ecology, biology, chemistry, and soil science, and understand the interactions between agriculture and the environment. They are proficient in the principles of sustainable farming, natural resource protection, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. You will be able to analyse the environmental impacts of agricultural activities, propose appropriate measures for landscape protection, and effectively apply ecological farming practices in real-world conditions. They find employment in agricultural enterprises, organic farms, landscape management organisations, advisory institutions, and public administration. They are capable of working both independently and as part of a team and may continue their studies in a follow-up master’s degree programme.
