The Botany Master‘s programme covers the following branches: Phycology, Mycology, Bryology, Systematics of vascular plants, Population and community ecology, Vegetation and restoration ecology and Archeobotany. The research covers all fields of botany and joints traditional approach with modern methodological possibilities. Solved projects have a wide scope from the taxonomic and eco-physiological aspects of plants, through plant populations and communities, to the ecosystem and landscape levels.

The You acquire the necessary knowledge for independent professional and research work in the fields of systematics and ecology of cyanobacteria and algae, higher plants and fungi. The graduate is capable of independent research or professional work and can successfully integrate into both research-focused and practically oriented teams. The acquired knowledge enables graduates to find employment in basic and applied biological, agricultural, and forestry research, in nature conservation, in museums and botanical gardens, in non-profit environmental organizations, as well as in the education sector.
