The Production Technology study programme responds to the demands of the labour market by ensuring that You acquire competencies in materials engineering, manufacturing technologies, computer-aided design, computer simulation, and related fields. Therefore, the curriculum includes courses that enable students to develop these knowledge areas and practical skills. The structure of courses within the bachelor’s degree programme is designed to adequately reflect the current needs of the manufacturing industrial sector. Particular emphasis is placed on the concept of Industry 4.0, including partially or fully automated production systems, digitalisation of manufacturing, the creation of digital twins, machine vision, and similar technologies. The curriculum also incorporates courses focused on sustainable production requirements, such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Industrial Ecology, Best Available Techniques (BAT), and others. A strong emphasis is placed on professional internships, which students complete in leading industrial companies within the South Bohemian Region.

Submit the electronic application by the deadline and provide the required documents. Upload officially verified annual secondary school reports to the portal as PDFs from authorised conversion – Czech POINT; for the final year, upload the mid-year report if you have not yet completed studies. You may also submit a cumulative record electronically signed by the headmaster. If you have passed the maturita, upload an officially verified copy of the maturita certificate as a PDF from authorised conversion – Czech POINT. Applicants who have completed secondary education submit it with the application; final-year students no later than the end of June. Ranking is based on secondary school results and admission continues up to the set quota. There is no entrance exam for Bc. study programmes.

Study

The graduate of the bachelor’s degree programme in Production Technology possesses comprehensive knowledge and skills in materials engineering, manufacturing technologies, and modern methods of product design and production management. They are able to use computer-aided design (CAD) tools and computer simulations in product development and the optimisation of manufacturing processes. They are familiar with the principles of Industry 4.0, including production automation, digitalisation, the use of digital twins, and machine vision systems. The graduate also has knowledge in the field of sustainable production, particularly in life cycle assessment (LCA), industrial ecology, and the application of best available techniques (BAT). Thanks to completed professional internships, they are well prepared to apply their knowledge in real industrial environments. They are capable of working independently as well as in teams, analysing technical problems, and proposing effective solutions with consideration for economic and environmental aspects of production. Graduates find employment in technical and technological positions within manufacturing companies or may continue their studies in a follow-up master’s programme.
