The specialization of the two-year study programme Design of Machines and Technical Equipment offers universally applicable education in the field of machine and equipment design. At the end of their studies, students may focus on the design of machining or forming machines, or universal technical equipment, which is also reflected in their diploma thesis. *********** This specialization of the two-year study programme Design of Machines and Technical Equipment provides education for future design engineers as well as professional users of road and rail vehicles and handling equipment. At the end of their studies, students may focus on either road or rail vehicles, which is also reflected in their diploma thesis. *********** This specialization of the two-year study programme Design of Machines and Technical Equipment is intended for those who wish to obtain design education focused on medical technology. Professional technical subjects are complemented by topics from medical fields – primarily patient rehabilitation and handling.

You will be able to use the basics of mechatronics, control and measurement technology, computer-aided design tools (CAD) and computational simulation (CAE), and you will also acquire methods of systematic design (EDS). You will be oriented in a multidisciplinary environment and be able to analyze and design the correct functional solution of a given technical device. You may work as project designers, design engineers and calculation engineers in mechanical engineering production. You may also succeed as operational and production technicians, as well as research, commercial and managerial staff in small and large companies. You may also work as specialized secondary school teachers. *********** You will deepen your knowledge of design and acquire modern design methods. In your work, you will be able to use the basics of mechatronics, control and measurement technology, computer-aided design tools (CAD) and computational simulation (CAE), and you will also acquire methods of systematic design (EDS). In your work, you will be able to use the basics of mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanics and control and measurement technology, computer-aided design tools (CAD) and computational simulation (CAE), and you will also acquire methods of systematic design (EDS). Thanks to your knowledge, you will be able to design, create and innovate basic structural systems of various medical devices primarily intended for patient handling. You will also gain good orientation in complex technical equipment used in healthcare. You will find employment primarily in the field of medical equipment design. Thanks to your knowledge, you may also work in related mechanical engineering fields, for example in design offices, service centres, etc.
