The goal is to train professionals with a broad understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics—fields focused primarily on systems that use pressurized fluid or compressed air to transmit energy. Graduates will gain detailed knowledge of the design and function of individual components, system architecture, control, design, diagnostics, etc. The design and verification of component and system properties involve modeling and simulating fluid flow and system dynamics using 1D and 3D software tools, which is another component of the study program. The program is further supplemented by knowledge of pumping technology and fluid transport, water and wind turbines, and the skills necessary for creating documentation for related mechanical parts and assemblies, specifying requirements for related specializations, and so on.

Study

Graduates will be qualified to work as designers, engineers, operations staff, or research and development personnel in the field of hydraulic and pneumatic machinery and related fields. They will be able to approach assigned problems creatively and innovatively, work on given tasks independently or as part of a team, and lead a team when necessary. They will be able to formulate and present their own opinions, taking into account the perspectives of other group members, and clearly communicate information, ideas, problems, and solutions to both experts and laypeople. Graduates will also be able to apply skills in the field of information and communication technologies, consistently evaluate their own learning, and identify their own educational needs in unfamiliar and changing environments requiring a high degree of independence, as well as assist others in identifying their educational needs.
