ENGLISH DEGREE PROGRAM COMPUTER SCIENCE AT CHARLES UNIVERSITY

Aakash Ravi graduated from the English degree program Computer Science, field of study General Computer Science, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University.

During his studies, he participated in the establishment of start-up Spaceti, which won 2nd place for the mobile application Locaid.me in the competition Idea of ​​the Year by Vodafone in 2016 where other 170 competitors competed. Between the second and the third year of his studies at Charles University, he spent summer at Stanford University in the USA, where he participated in the Silicon Valley Innovation Academy program. During the seven weeks of the program, Aakash's group created a new app for caretakers of people suffering from age-related dementia.

For two years during his studies in Prague, he worked as a developer for IBM, as a computer programmer for the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics at the Czech Technical University in Prague, and he also co-organized non-profit computer courses for seniors with his other classmates.

Currently, he primarily works as one of the directors of already successful company Spaceti. The company develops technologies for optimizing the use and management of buildings. The technology processes occupancy analysis, internal navigation of the building, environmental analysis as well as analysis for parking. Nowadays, Spaceti operates in 15 countries around the world and facilitates the management for over a million square meters of office space in several major companies such as Skoda, Vodafone, Skanska, Sodexo, MSD and KLP. In March 2019, at the MIPIM Startup Competition in Cannes, France, Aakash's business was named the world's number one among the companies operating with technologies in real estate.

Aakash Ravi proudly claims allegiance to his alma mater as well as to the fact that their successful start-up has its origins in Prague, Czech Republic and still has one of its headquarters there. Due to the successful operation of the start-up Spaceti not only in Europe (United Kingdom, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden) but also in the USA and Japan, it contributes to spreading the good name of Charles University and the Czech Republic worldwide.
