What made you decide to study in the Czech Republic?
The reason why I decided to study in the Czech Republic is because the country is located in "the heart of Europe" which made me travel easily and I wanted to live very different place from where I grew up, Japan. The country and Japan has different history and uniqueness so I wanted to feel and study them.
Did your studies meet your expectations? How did you find the study programme, instructors, university facilities? Were there any differences from studying in your country?
Indeed, it was not that enough when it comes to studying. In my university the courses in English were limited and I couldn't take some of them even though I was interested in. However, study program and international students were awesome and I got so many friends from all over the world.
What was the biggest surprise with regard to studying or living in the Czech Republic?
For me, I found the country safe and very comfortable to live. During my studying abroad I travelled over ten countries but the Czech republic was the most comfortable for me. Cheap price, safe even at night, 24/7 public transportation, great food... many things!
What was your most memorable experience or what did you enjoy most as a student in the Czech Republic?
I enjoyed dinner and drinking with my international friends the most. In this COVID pandemic I found out that the days I enjoyed was miracle and difficult for now. Cheap but good beer helps us to create deep friendship
How do you think your time in the Czech Republic has helped your studies and/or your career?
In the future I want to come back to the Czech Republic as working so I decided to work at Japanese trading company which has branch in Prague. The Czech republic become my second home and place to come back.
Do you have any advice for students thinking about studying in the Czech Republic?
The Czech republic is more and more amazing than you are thinking and you are searching via internet. Just come here and enjoy!
